MIPS Tip Tuesday:
Do you know how to avoid MIPS without a penalty?
The only way to dodge a 4% penalty in 2019 is by meeting one of the following criteria:
- Be a newly enrolled Medicare clinician (clinicians who enroll in Medicare for the first time during a performance period)
- Meet the low-volume threshold (Medicare Part B allowed charges less than or equal to $30,000 OR 100 or fewer Medicare Part B patients)
- Participate significantly in an Advanced APM (by meeting the qualified participant definition)
