When the stage 2 final rule for meaningful use was released, the healthcare industry expressed generally positive feedback. However, a few organizations, such as the American Hospital Association, expressed some discontent with the rule and its requirements. The question is: How do physicians feel?

While the Stage 2 Meaningful Use final rule does not affect the deadline for maximum incentives in the program, it does clarify paths to payments for EPs and hospitals opting to begin participating in the program in the years to come as well as the effect the timeliness of their participation will have on the amount of incentives they will receive.
