One week after the annual ritual of springing forward to change our clocks for Daylight Saving Time, this year feels different. There’s a renewed interest in changing this time-honored ritual and the #Lock the Clock movement may have reached critical mass. So much so that this topic found its way into the Presidential twitter stream.
Maybe we’re sleep deprived from the lost hour, but the Acumen staff is considering a change to our blog cadence and structure. First off, we’d like to thank YOU, our dear blog readers, for joining our journey over the last 8+ years. Take a minute to look back at some fun facts on the blog history that we published in our 7-year anniversary blog post.
Somewhat fittingly as we usher in Spring, change is everywhere around us. Health care is moving increasingly towards value-based care and well-capitalized, large players are entering the industry with an eye towards increasing the pace of innovation. In our corner of Acumen and nephrology, we’re going through our own change journey on many fronts—we’ve moved our headquarters to Nashville and we’ve partnered with Epic to launch our Acumen 2.0 software platform and Revenue Cycle Management service. Clearly, these changes warrant a review of our website and blog.
Looking ahead, we’re going to take a brief break for a couple weeks as we prepare for a new and improved Acumen blog. If you are attending Renal Physicians Association (RPA) Annual Meeting, please stop by Booth 413 to say hello. And in the meantime, please look out for an announcement on our new blog direction to come shortly following the RPA event.
Stay tuned!
